Oscar - Week Twenty Nine

This week a rash that started last weekend started hurting on Friday and by Saturday was unbearable. I made an urgent care appointment for first thing on Sunday morning. When the doctor walked in I showed the rash and immediately he said - ‘it’s shingles.’ UGH! I got some anti-viral medication and started taking it immediately. My biggest fear was that I would give Oscar the chicken pox. He can’t get the vaccine yet because he is too little and I can’t do much besides cover the rash which is extremely painful to do. But I did. While I was with Oscar and at home I covered the rash. By today, it was already starting to be less painful.

Saturday, while I was in pain but didn’t know why, I took Oscar over to see his Great Grandma and Grandpa. My Great Aunt Kathy was there too for a little while. It was good to see them and someone besides me got to see Oscar’s St. Patrick’s Day outfit!
