Oscar - Week Twenty Four

Oscar really started babbling more, saying ‘ah,’ this week and he has a little squeak laugh forming. It’s the sweetest sound.

We saw that daycare was putting Oscar in an assisted sitting toy and we remembered that we have one of those too! We put it together and he seemed to like playing with the toys. He’s not quite sure how to walk around in it yet though.

Hank and Oscar have been cuddling a lot and Hank usually gives Oscar a dog kiss or two when they settle in together. This week Oscar decided to lick him back. It make me laugh out loud when I saw them licking each other. I’m sure this is the beginning of a lot of shared germs.

On Saturday we visited Great Grandma and Grandpa. I tried to get Oscar to show off his rolling from his belly to his back but he didn’t want to be a show off and refused to roll in front of Grandma and Grandpa. Instead he just looked around while he was on his belly and then started crying. So Grandpa and Grandma took turns holding him. Grandma fed him and cuddled him right into a long nap while I finished up the puzzle they were working on.

On Sunday we went to a Superbowl Party at my friend’s house. It was cold that day so we put him in his Puppy coat to walk outside. Oscar slept through the whole football game. Such is life with a baby.

Oscar did qualify for services through First Steps. Right now just for Physical Therapy for his turning preference and his physical development. We really like his Therapist, Ms. Devon. She is so kind and a good teacher. She will come to our house once a month and she will go to daycare twice a month to work with him on his physical development. This week Oscar is working on sitting and rolling over.
