Up close and personal
This first layer in a painting is always the scariest and the most exciting. As is the first step on any new thing. When I take the first step and make the first paint stroke I never quite know how a thing will turn out.
My husband and I recently decided that we wanted to try to buy a house. We’ve tried before but our collective credit score were not where they needed to be so we put it on the back burner and worked on raising our credit scores and our savings. Now that it’s been about two years we decided to try again. We didn’t get approved for as much as we thought we would so we were a little disheartened. But we decided to keep an open mind and just look to see what was out there, and in our price range.
We expanded our search area to different parts of town and open our minds to the possibility of buying a fixer upper. And we just started scouring the apps. I think I have 3 or 4 different real estate apps still on my phone.
To my surprise we found things that we liked in our price range. So we went ahead and found a realtor. We we ready to go and we knew the market was moving very quickly. We send our realtor a list of about 20 houses that we were looking at. The first weekend we went to look at houses we had 4 showings scheduled.
The 4th house we looked at will soon become our first house!
Now if I knew that everything would work out as perfectly as it did - it would have been a lot easier to take that first step. But where’s the fun in that. 😉
I know that things do always work out as they are meant to. And that is true with my artwork too. Every painting turns out exactly as it should even if it’s not what I had planned. 😜
